About The Tracker Lead

The Tracker Lead is a 1.8 m full-grain Crazy Horse leather dog lead designed to give active dogs room to follow a scent, explore a riverbank and move naturally without placing them beyond the owner’s reach. At 30 mm wide and 4 mm thick, it feels substantial and balanced without becoming cumbersome in the hand.

Its double-sided construction places finished leather on both faces, reducing exposed surfaces where dirt and moisture can collect. After wet or muddy use, wipe the lead clean and allow it to dry naturally.

The Tracker Lead is designed to pair with The Tracker Collar as The Tracker Set. Order them together and, where possible, we will select complementary leather for the closest colour and grain match.

Construction

The Tracker Lead is constructed from two layers of full-grain Crazy Horse leather, bonded and machine-stitched so both faces are fully finished. This gives the lead strength, weight and structure while reducing exposed fibres where dirt and moisture can collect.

The heavy-duty snap hook and handle loop are securely stitched into place and reinforced with screw studs at the principal points of strain. Emerald Green waxed canvas lines the handle for a secure, comfortable grip.

Styling

The original Fortune & Glory™ brand stamp provides a restrained mark of authenticity.

Available in two colourways, Safari Tan and Saddle Brown.

Safari Tan gives the lead a warm ochre character inspired by the iron-rich sands of the Kalahari and the sun-baked tracks of the Maasai Mara. The tan leather will deepen through wear, set against the restrained contrast of the Emerald Green waxed-canvas handle and antique-brass hardware.

Saddle Brown takes its character from worn saddles, old timber cabins and the dark earth of the Rocky Mountains. Deep and understated from the outset, the brown leather will grow richer with age, with the Emerald Green waxed-canvas handle adding a discreet flash of colour.
